6 weeks to 12 months
Our Infant Room cares for babies 6 weeks old through 18 months old. We meet the basic needs of infants as well as give them opportunities to learn and grow both physically and cognitively through books, singing, and movements. The Infant Room has a 1:4 teacher-student ratio, and we’re very comfortably staffed at all times.
Mrs. Michele Shogren, our lead teacher, has her Early Child Certificate and has been in the child care business for 10+ years. The infants have sensory time, tummy time, singing/talking time, and are also taught some basic sign language skills. When it is nice out, the infants get to go outside in the “Bye-Bye Buggy” and go on indoor walks when it starts getting colder out!
Infants transition into the toddler room between 16-18 months depending on when they are developmentally ready.
12 months to 24 months
24 months to 33 months
Our Toddler Room is licensed for 14 toddlers. The age range for this room is 16 months to 33 months. In this room the state ratio is 1:7.
Teachers in the toddler room support developing communication skills, both spoken and signed, provide developmentally appropriate play experiences and activities that bolster their physical and cognitive growth. and guide them lovingly and respectfully in their social and emotional interactions as they build relationships with their teachers and peers.
Many learning activities are delivered in small groups of children, allowing them to interact with the same 2 or 3 children at a time under the guidance of the same teacher.
We strive to share the message of Jesus’s love and God’s promises through songs, prayers, stories and, most importantly at this tender age, caring interactions with each child.
Our toddlers transition into the preschool room between 33-35 months.
33 months to 5 years
The full-time Preschool Room supports 20 children, 33 months to 5 years or Kindergarten-ready. In this room the state ratio is 1:10. We have 3 workers, all of which are lead teacher qualified. Mrs. Bare is the lead teacher.
In the Preschool Room, we use a curriculum based on different themes. We choose a different letter of the alphabet to study each week. The children have a Bible lesson each day, and throughout the week they work on numbers, math, science, and Spanish skills.
The teachers all work with different age groups (3’s, 4’s, and older 4’s and 5’s) and focus on their strengths and skill sets.
Several of our Center preschool families have advanced their children into Holy Trinity's Kindergarten program.
Because of our detailed preschool curriculum, our older preschoolers will be Kindergarten ready once they "graduate!"
We also offer half-day preschool classes. Our lead teacher is Cindy Klatt.
